FAQ
Ingredient Integrity & Safety
Are your products natural?
Yes. Every Better Things product is formulated with botanical oils, plant butters, and natural waxes. We believe in high-performance ingredients that are minimally processed to retain their natural potency. Because of this, you may notice slight variations in color or scent between batches—this is a hallmark of truly natural products!
Are your products fragrance-free?
Some of our products are scented with 100% pure essential oils. Please check the ingredients on each product page for a full INCI list.
I have sensitive skin. Is this for me?
Our formulas are packed with potent natural botanicals. While they are designed to be nourishing, everyone’s skin is different. We recommend a 24-hour patch test on a small area (like your inner wrist) before full use. If you experience any irritation, discontinue use immediately.
Allergy Information
Are your products nut-free?
While many of our recipes do not contain nuts, we use Sweet Almond Oil and Shea Butter (which contains a natural substance similar to latex) in our facility.
Can you guarantee a completely allergen-free environment?
No. While we maintain a strict, clean formulation space, we source our raw materials from global suppliers. These natural ingredients may be processed in facilities that also handle other botanicals, tree nuts, seeds, or soy. Because of this, we cannot 100% guarantee that trace cross-contamination did not occur at the point of origin or during transport. If you have a severe or life-threatening allergy, please do not use these products.
Usage & Storage
Will my product melt in the mail?
We use natural shea butter and beeswax, which can soften in high temperatures. If your product arrives soft, simply place it in a cool, dry place to allow it to firm back up. This does not affect the quality or performance of the product.
Are these products medicinal?
No. Better Things products are cosmetics. They are designed to deeply cleanse, purify, and beautify your skin. Our products and statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
How are your handmade products shipped during summer?
Because our Better Things formulations use natural mango butter and beeswax, they can be temperature-sensitive. During warmer months, we recommend tracking your package closely so it doesn't sit in a hot mailbox. If a product arrives soft, simply place it in a cool spot or the fridge for 20 minutes—this is a natural characteristic of raw botanical butters and won't affect performance!
Can I return skincare items?
For hygiene and safety reasons, formulated products from Better Things (including all oils and balms) are final sale once opened. Please review our Refund Policy for more information.
Foot Oil FAQs
Q: Can I use the foot oil on other parts of my body?
A: While primarily designed for the tough skin of the feet, this oil can be used on sore calves or ankles. Avoid using it on the face, neck, or sensitive skin areas, as the concentration of essential oils is specifically balanced for foot care.
Q: Why does my skin feel warm after applying?
A: That is the active botanical effect. Ginger and black pepper stimulate local circulation. This mild warming sensation means the ingredients are working to soothe tired muscles and refresh the skin.
Q: How often should I use the foot oil?
A: For best results, we recommend once daily—ideally at night before bed to allow the oils to penetrate deeply while you rest.
Q: Is this oil safe for children?
A: Due to the potency of essential oils, we do not recommend this product for children under the age of 12.
